A Royal Cinderella Third Birthday Party

Once Upon A Time, there was a beautiful little princess who held a Royal Ball for her third birthday. This past weekend we had a magical Cinderella-themed party for Miss K's birthday. Complete with a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and a Cinderella castle cake.

Guests left wishes for the birthday girl on her Wishing Tree!

Oh yes, and the GLITTER. Lots and lots and lots of glitter.

A friend of mine helped with the design of the invitations, which came out perfect! And they wouldn't have been complete without a silver sparkly border.

For the colors, we kept to the light blue, minty blue and silver sparkle. Even the french macaroons, after several rounds of getting them right, matched the color scheme!

We transformed our living room into Kylie's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. There were two "princess assistants" there to help the girls get their hair done, nails painted, and dressed up with tutus, necklaces, shoes and tiaras. We even had matching headbands for our little princesses.

The girls took home favors of Cinderella puzzles, activity packs and bracelets. Sticking with the theme, we had inflatable swords and shields for the boys. We had 25 kids attend the party... needless to say, it was a little noisy. Luckily, we were surprised with good weather and the kids were able to play outside.

These chalkboard signs are great for parties but even better to save for the baby book. A great way to remember the milestones and accomplishments that year.

The dessert table was covered in princess shaped rice krispie treats, french macaroons, cake pops and almost-midnight clock cookies. But the centerpiece of the table was the two tier cake in the shape of Cinderella's castle.

Spending the previous week up in Boston with little M really put a kink in my plans for the party, especially doing the cake I had planned to do. I was considering just getting one made by a local bakery, until K said she wanted a Cinderella Castle cake. I just couldn't give up the chance to make this cake myself!

Miss K had a great time celebrating her magical third birthday. Thank you to all the family and friends that celebrated with us!
