A Weather themed 2nd Birthday Party!

As the mom of two little girls, I always jump at the chance to style a party for little boys. I happen to know this birthday boy very well, and I know that he LOVES the weather. Not just playing outside in the snow or rain. He loves watching the weather channel!

A simple yet cheery backdrop with sunny skies set the perfect tone for this weather themed second birthday party. This DIY backdrop is so easy to do and won't cost you a fortune! We purchased the blue string curtains and 3D pop-up sun from Oriental Trading. The clouds were cut from white fleece using a printable cloud template.

Want to receive our free cloud template we used for this backdrop? Sign up to our mailing list (under Get More Morsels on the left hand side) and we will send you out this free template along with future free templates, printables and recipes!

Looking for a trendy way to personalize your dessert table? We painted these custom name letters for the birthday boy. From sunny morning sky, to thunderstorms and feet of snow, to a star-filled night sky, these letters are the perfect addition to any party. Get them in our Etsy shop now!

We filled the dessert table with themed yummy treats including star and cloud rice krispie treats and, of course, cake pops! Rain drops, suns, stars and moons!

But the centerpiece of the dessert table was, of course, the cake! We baked up this three layer sky-high cake. We designed this custom cake topper to tie in all of the weather elements and add the perfect finishing touch to the table display.

We loved being a part of this unique and fun birthday party with birthday boy Liam and celebrating his family and friends!
